Check if a phone number is spam, report suspicious calls, and help protect our community from phone scams.

Enter a phone number to check against our spam database and community reports
Paste the number into the checker above. It's matched against FTC consumer complaint data and community reports, so instead of guessing you see what the number (and its area code) has actually been reported for โ IRS impersonation, fake tech support, robocalls โ and how often.
Quick vocabulary: spam is nuisance marketing you didn't ask for; a scam is an attempt to take your money or identity. The check covers both, because scammers reuse the same numbers until they're burned.
One honest caveat no lookup tool escapes: a clean result is not proof a number is safe. Scammers spoof local, legitimate-looking numbers โ the caller ID you see may not be the line they're actually using. Treat the check as one signal, not a verdict.
Three red flags that outrank any database:
If the check above shows reports, treat the number as spam and don't call back. If it shows nothing, the number may simply be too new to have reports โ hang up on unknown callers who match the red flags above, and report the number through the checker's report button to warn the next person.

Yes! After checking any number, click 'Report This Number as Spam' to submit a report. You can specify the type of scam, add a comment about your experience, and optionally include your name. Your report helps protect others in our community.
Do not answer the call. If you accidentally answer, do not provide any personal information and hang up immediately. Never call the number back, as this can confirm your number is active to scammers.
Yes, caller ID spoofing is common. Scammers can make any number appear on your caller ID, including government agencies, local numbers, or well-known businesses. This is why you should never rely solely on caller ID.
Report spam calls to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov, register on the National Do Not Call Registry, and report to your phone carrier. In the UK, text 'call' followed by the number to 7726.
We process the FTC's public Do Not Call complaint exports (90-day window, 2026-03-03 to 2026-05-28). These are the area codes displayed most often in consumer complaints โ caller IDs are routinely spoofed, so a high count means the code is heavily used in spam displays, not that callers are actually located there.
